2008 Umpire Clinics
January 26-27 - Northern Zone Clinic and meeting. This is Saturday and Sunday and the best places to meet other Northern Zone umpires, and see how and what they do in certain situations. This is a full clinic and makes you eligible for Post Season. Please contact the Executive Inn in Owensboro, KY, and ask for the NSA rate. If you are going to attend, please contact your UIC for more information.
February 21st - Lexington Parks and Recreation will be holding their umpire clinic at 6:00 pm - 9:00pm at Picadome. All umpires that work for Lexington Parks and Recreation and umpires that work weekends with NSA are welcoome to attend so you can get your yearly clinic in. Rulebooks and tournament schedules will be given out at this clinic. If you are going to attend, please contact your UIC for more information.
April 17th - Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Gym (6:30pm - 8:30pm) Must attend at least one clinic to be eligible for Post Season. Please contact your UC if you are attending this clinic.
We need to add YOU to our Kentucky NSA Softball Crew of Umpires!
Kentucky NSA Softball has a strong Adult program of Slowpitch Softball and we host around 50 ñ 60 tournaments a year starting in late March and running through October which averages out to 6 or 7 tournaments per month.
Kentucky NSA Softball hosts at least 50 Fastpitch tournaments starting in May and running through October which averages out to 5 or 8 tournaments per month.
We also have BPA Baseball or which we are in need of dedicated umpires. This program is still new and growing year to year. If you love baseball, we need you on the field in a BPA uniform.! We will host around 40 tournaments starting in March and running through October.
We also have leagues that you can work through the week in addition to the weekend tournaments. Payment per game increases if you are selected to umpire Post Season Events.
NSA and BPA registration, uniforms and equipment will be required.
NO PAST UMPIRING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
You simply need the desire to learn the rules and mechanics.
We will be hosting a Hands-On Umpires Clinic /Training Session
at several locations throughout the year. Please contact your State UIC for more details!
